A2CView

AoE2 Recorded Games Content Plugin

A2CView is a content plugin for Total Commander^(*).Total Commander is a file manager for Windows. One of its features is the support for plugins. Content plugins are used for several purposes: For showing custom columns in the file lists, for searching, and in the multi-rename tool. This plugin is intended to display information about AoE2 recorded games in Total Commander's columns. Supported file extensions are .mgl, .mgx, .mgz (AOK, AOC & AOFE recorded games of any version).

Installation:

With Total Commander 6.5+, just open archive and TC will install this plugin automatically.

Configuration:

Add custom columns via Configuration > Options... > Custom columns and clicking on the "New" button. It will create a new custom columns view, and opens the dialog box to edit it. Here you can define the contents of the columns in custom columns view.

Name entry specifies the name of the selected view, as shown in the menu. You can name it "AoE2 View" or similar and add columns by clicking on the "Add column" button. Now press the plus button ("+") and choose the appropriate column you want to be displayed.

A2CView plugin supports following columns:

• GameType
• MapStyle
• Map
• Duration
• Players
• POV
• Version
• # of players
• PlayersEx (this is list of all players in the game, can't be displayed, only for searching purposes)

You can easily switch between different columns views by right-clicking on the column label as you can see on the picture.

Searching for recorded games:

You can access Find files dialog box via Commands > Search... or by pressing ALT+F7. Now click on the Plugins tab. This page allows to search using content plugins. In the picture below you can see simple search for all recorded games played by Daut on any map but Arabia.

Multi-rename tool:

Multi-rename tool allows to rename all marked files with powerful rename options. You can access Multi-rename tool dialog box via Files > Multi-rename tool... or by pressing CTRL+M.
